Tiger's Update - May 4

Volunteers Wanted
We need a few good men to organize events. Look thru the Activities below and let me know if you want to organize one. Organizing is a great way to meet other pumpers.

We also need Trainers to mentor other pumpers one-on-one, or lead a group session.
If you've figured out how to GET HUGE, volunteer man!

Travel to Palm Springs
Our travel expert Charlie has some advice on flying to the Event:

** Palm Springs has its own major airport ten miles from CCBC with
nonstops in June to hub airports like Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco,
Las Vegas, Phoenix, Chicago, Dallas, Houston and other cities. There's
no need to connect via LAX.

** (Best Buy) Ontario (California)'s airport is 75 miles or just over an hour's
easy drive from CCBC. Plane tickets to Ontario cost less than tickets
to Palm Springs, and Ontario's rental cars are cheaper too. Ontario has
flights from all over the west and Dallas, Chicago etc. Southwest
Airlines serves Ontario, but not Palm Springs.

** Los Angeles' airport, LAX, is 130 miles from CCBC and a drive of 2.5
hours or more with complex traffic for half the trip as you traverse the
entire city. Avoid this.

CAR NEEED?: Rental cars in Palm Springs aren't rock-bottom cheap. It's
a spread-out area with bars, restaurants, etc, several miles from CCBC
and little commerce within walking distance. CCBC has no restaurant.
Cabs can take you 10 miles from the airport to CCBC and back again, but
other trips may require getting a ride from someone. Having a car in
Palm Springs is almost a requirement

TOYS AND LUGGAGE INSPECTION: Sending items by UPS etc means sending
them home again, which won't be easy on Sunday with UPS etc closed. I
say, bring whatever and relax. Luggage inspectors have seen it all,
everything, many times, and they don't care; this is the same with hotel
chambermaids and emergency room personnel and lots of other people we
sometimes fret about. The lesson. Don't fret. Open your suitcase if
required, and smile. You probably won't be asked anything. A simple
answer is "it's like a bicycle pump". Or "It's for sex". As long as it
doesn't look explosive, they don't care.

Wolf’s is open daily from 2pm, is busy including on weekend afternoons, has special events almost every weekend day and evening, has good music, friendly people and an enclosed patio, sells hotdogs for charity during events, and is an easy walk from CCBC. Very nice and handy for us exhibitionists!
